About the Procedure

What Is Low Nasal Bridge Rhinoplasty?

When the nasal bridge is low and lacks dimension, the whole face can look flat. Low nasal bridge rhinoplasty corrects this, but not by simply making the nose taller. We create a beautiful nose line by considering your individual face shape, your forehead line, the spacing between your eyes, and how they all work together.

Natural Beauty

A Nose Designed Around Your Whole Face

Three elements are weighed together before your nose line is ever drawn. The result is a nose that belongs on your face, not someone else's.

01

Face Shape

The overall contours of your face determine how much height and dimension your new bridge should carry.

02

Forehead Line

The slope of your forehead sets the starting point of the nose line, so the bridge flows naturally from your profile.

03

Eye Spacing

The distance between your eyes guides the width and position of the bridge for a balanced, harmonious center of the face.

The LEE HAKSOO Standard

Bridge Height and Tip Line, Measured in Angles

Low nasal bridge rhinoplasty at LEE HAKSOO Plastic Surgery considers both the height of the bridge and the line of the nasal tip, guided by these ideal angles.

120 to 140 degrees

Angle between the nasal bridge and the forehead

120 to 140 degrees

Angle between the columella and the philtrum

Operation Method

How the Surgery Is Performed

01

Bridge Implant

An implant placed along the nasal bridge raises it naturally, adding clean, subtle height that follows the line designed for your face.

Caution

Care Before and After Surgery

Before Surgery

  • Stop taking aspirin and any medication that interferes with clotting two weeks before surgery, and tell us in advance if you are being treated for any medical condition.
  • Do not drink alcohol for three days before surgery.
  • Come in comfortable clothing on the day of surgery, and remove all jewelry and accessories.

After Surgery

  • Never remove the tape, splint, stitches, or nasal packing on your own.
  • Sleep with your upper body raised for the first three days, and avoid bending your head down or lying face down.
  • Apply cold compresses for the first week, then alternate cold and warm compresses to ease the swelling.
  • Avoid baths, saunas, exercise, and swimming pools for three weeks after surgery.
  • Avoid alcohol and smoking for one month after surgery.
  • Skip glasses and sunglasses for about a month so the implant does not bend or shift.
  • Even if your nose feels blocked, avoid blowing your nose or coughing up phlegm, as this can cause bleeding.
  • Be sure to take your prescribed medication.
