What Is Under Eye Fat Repositioning?
With age, the fat and skin beneath the eyes loosen and bulge, deepening under eye wrinkles and leaving you looking tired and older than you feel. Under eye fat removal and repositioning corrects this by removing the loosened fat and moving it where it is needed, making the area under your eyes bright and smooth for a noticeably younger looking gaze. Because the work is done through the conjunctiva on the inside of the eyelid, there is no stitch removal afterward.

Hollow Tear Trough
A groove forms beneath the protruding fat pocket. When repositioning the fat is not enough on its own, fat grafting is performed at the same time to fill the hollow.

Sagging and Wrinkles
When muscle volume and fat have decreased, the under eye area looks sunken and wrinkled and dark circles appear. The excess is removed through an incision and the fat is repositioned.

Care Before and After Surgery
Before Surgery
- Stop taking aspirin and any medication that interferes with clotting two weeks before surgery, and tell us in advance if you are being treated for any medical condition.
- Do not drink alcohol for three days before surgery.
- Come in comfortable clothing on the day of surgery, and remove all jewelry and accessories.
After Surgery
- Apply cold compresses for the first four days, then alternate cold and warm compresses to ease the swelling.
- Eye makeup and contact lenses are fine from two weeks after surgery.
- Avoid baths, saunas, exercise, and swimming pools for three weeks after surgery.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking for one month after surgery.
- Be sure to take your prescribed medication.
