About the Procedure

What is the incisional double eyelid technique?

This surgery removes sagging eyelid skin along with excess fat or muscle, then creates the double eyelid line. It is the technique of choice when a crease is unlikely to form through natural adhesion alone. It works especially well for eyelids that carry a lot of fat or have loosened with time, carries little risk of the crease coming undone, and is frequently used in revision cases.

Who Benefits

The incisional technique is right for you if

  • Your eyelids carry a lot of fat
  • Your eyelid skin sags noticeably
  • You also have ptosis, so your eyes do not open fully
  • You want a clearly defined double eyelid line that will not loosen
Operation Method

How the surgery is done

01

Design

Before surgery, Dr. Lee designs your crease line with you in a personal consultation.

02

Removal

Excess skin is secured along the line, and unneeded fat or part of the orbicularis muscle is removed.

03

Fixation

The skin is connected to the levator muscle, the muscle that opens the eye, and then sutured.

04

Completion

Your eyes are complete: natural, bright, and clearly defined.
